Frieze London

14 to 18 October 2026. London.

The house reading

October in London: two fairs in Regent's Park and a whole city turning around art.

From 14 to 18 October, Frieze London and Frieze Masters take over Regent's Park. One shows what is being made now; the other spans six thousand years, from antiquity to the modern masters.

Around them, the busiest week on the city's art calendar: the October auctions in Mayfair, gallery openings, collectors' dinners and the major museum shows. WAYFARER builds the trip so you are there on the right days, in the right rooms.

02

The right rooms

Fair, auctions and galleries stitched into one itinerary, with no time lost in between.

03

A table held

The week's hardest dinners, settled before you fly.

04

One contact

One person handling everything, from landing at Heathrow to the last day.

What is at stake

Two fairs, one park, and the whole of London around them.

Frieze is not one fair but two, in tents at opposite ends of The Regent’s Park, a fifteen-minute walk apart. Frieze London brings together around 160 galleries of contemporary art made from 2000 onwards. Frieze Masters shows what came before, from antiquities to twentieth-century icons. Together they pass 60,000 visitors.

Wednesday is the day

The opening is invitation only, 11am to 7pm. It is when works change hands. Anyone arriving on Thursday finds red dots on the best walls.

Masters is the calmer one

Same week, same park, different crowd. For anyone collecting the twentieth century, it holds the better conversations and the slower pace.

The city moves with it

PAD London runs the same week in Berkeley Square, and the Mayfair and St James’s galleries open in sequence. The fair is the centre, not the limit.

Access

What is settled by invitation, not at a box office.

Public-day tickets are sold online. The rest is not. The list below is what we arrange end to end.

Wednesday preview

The invitation-only day at both fairs, when works change hands.

Invitation

Frieze Masters alongside

Combined access to both tents, with the transfer between them handled.

Fairs

A dealer at your side

Someone who knows the galleries and what has already sold before you walk into the tent.

The addresses that fill during Frieze week, and the table that does not appear in the app.

Stay

We arrange every one of these categories, and confirm in writing what is already secured before any payment. Interest, figures and names do not circulate.

The London week

The fair is the centre. The week is what you buy.

Frieze does not happen alone. The same week, London holds PAD in Berkeley Square, the auction houses’ evening sales, the Mayfair and St James’s openings and the dinners that are never announced. Building the trip around the tent alone misses half of it.

Monday and Tuesday 12 and 13

The city warms up

Gallery openings in Mayfair and Cork Street, and PAD going up in Berkeley Square. Smaller dinners, easier to get into.

Galleries

Tuesday 13

PAD London opens

Design and decorative arts, twentieth century to contemporary, ten minutes from Frieze. It closes on the 18th.

Wednesday 14

The open days

Both tents at full pace, and the galleries at their busiest of the year.

City

Where to stay, eat and look

Mayfair solves the whole week on foot.

The stay

  • Claridge’s, the art week address
  • The Connaught, quieter, same block
  • The Beaumont, art deco, for less traffic
  • A house in Marylebone, for groups or longer stays

The table

  • Scott’s and The Ritz, for lunch between fair and galleries
  • Chiltern Firehouse and Sexy Fish, for the night
  • Mount St. Restaurant, above the gallery, with the collection on the walls
  • Booked weeks ahead, not days

Beyond the tent

  • Frieze Sculpture, outdoors in the park, free
  • Mayfair and St James’s, on a route built around what you collect
  • Studios and private collections, when the artist allows
  • PAD, for anyone buying design as well as art

There is still time

Three weeks out, and not everything has closed.

At this point, public-day tickets are still sold online. A preview invitation, a Mayfair table and a room at Claridge’s are another conversation, and they depend on who already has the relationship. We put in writing what is secured before any payment.

How it works

Three steps to a proposal.

01

You tell us the date, how many are travelling and what you would like to see.

02

We check real availability of access, hotel and table, and send the proposal in writing.

03

We adjust until it is right. Only then is there a booking and payment.

Frequently asked

Before you write.

Is access secured?

It depends on the date and on what you want. In the proposal we confirm in writing only what is already secured. When something still rests with third parties, we say so plainly rather than promise it.

What does it cost?

There is no price list, because each trip is built once. The figure depends on the access category, the stay and the number of guests. The proposal itemises everything, with no obligation.

Can I bring a group?

Yes. Groups change the logistics and sometimes open doors that do not exist for two people: a whole house, a private table, a boat. Tell us the number when you write.

What if the date changes?

Event calendars change, and that is not ours to control. When they do, we rebuild whatever can be rebuilt and tell you at once what is refundable and what is not, according to each supplier’s rules.
